Welcome to Paca de Paja - a small bed and breakfast in a Santa Fe-style strawbale home, nestled in the desert west of Tucson. This owner-built custom home is a showcase for energy efficient, low impact design.

Paca de Paja radiates Southwest ambiance in both its architectural style and furnishings. Thick walls, Antiguo tile, flagstone, and portals with peeled logs and vigas reflect architecture of the region.

Inside, Mexican hand-carved furniture, hand-woven textiles, wrought iron, Navajo rugs, Talavera pottery, and Indian art create a warm and enriching environment. Outside, the native plant gardens and rockwork bring the desert to your doorstep.
